Garden Growth–May 30, 2020
I spied my first Luna Moth this year while doing a last round and watering this evening. I was hoping to get a bit more done in the garden today, but something is better than nothing.
Pondering a notion on natives and non.
So the property already had some non native plants mixed in with the “locals” here before we bought it, and I have since added some as well through both blissful ignorance and two deliberately foreknown sentimental based acquisitions. Garden Growth–May 29, 2020
Mostly been spring cleaning in the garden the last few days and there is still so much to do. At least today I got some seeds in the ground! I will start soaking more tonight.
Planted the seeds last year–nothing happened.
When I later asked of the greenhouse where I bought this exactly which variant it was…they didn’t know. Letting it grow for now.
This had zero flowers until I started tentatively pruning. Must have done something right.
I’d be delighted if eventually the only things growing under there is the lilies of the valley and the clover.
I desperately feel like I know what this is, but…I got nothing.

Thankful for gnats.
The gnats were suddenly back yesterday, and it made me a bit sad and glad which I’m sure a lot of folks will think the latter is a bit daft. So allow me to explain.
