We currently have four larvae and another egg I risked taking off a seedpod. Continue reading “Guardianship update: 28th July 2018”
Ladder UP!
Coming soon! Site changes.
Like my garden, this website is developing over time. Some things that seemed like a good idea at the time don’t quite work out as intended. Other ideas don’t come to light until later. Mistakes get made, and I don’t want anyone to be led astray by what they read here, as the web is already chock full of disinformation and misleading information.
With that in mind, I have created a new category called Site Change Notifications. I have a few older posts I’ll dig up as time allows where I made later edits based on information learned after the post was created, and mark them with this new category when the changes are complete. (Which I will note the change on after I post this.) Continue reading “Hoo boys–first frost possibly earlier?”
Gardening in the rain
This week has proven to be one where the showers are actually happening as predicted, unlike the last time rain was forecast nonstop and then kept forgetting to actually visit. Continue reading “Gardening in the rain”
Rainy day, transplanted the pumpkin and corn seedlings
I hadn’t even given a thought as to whether some kitchen garden plants might suffer from being started indoors. Then I found a list that went into some examples of what is ok, what isn’t ideal, and what not to start indoors. As I scanned the list, then I started worrying about the corn in particular.
