A pair of Scarlet Malachite Beetles

Not sure if one was rebuffed for trying to be forced to share, or wasn't having any of the offered hanky panky.
A pair of Scarlet Malachite Beetles (Malachius aeneus).  I saw the one to the left first, then the other flew over. Then they had a short spat before the other flew one plant over and then they both seemed content.
